Jim Johnson
Statistical Website Engineer
Jim has been a full-time consultant since 1987, with a particular interest in relational databases and the potential for computers and the Internet to improve the world. He began building websites in 1995, and found an early niche in offering web-based interfaces to email-based forums.
After working for Sligo as a subcontractor for a time, Jim came on board in 1999. Since then Jim has spent most of his time developing data analysis websites for state education agencies, merging complex datasets with sophisticated graphing software, accessed through an easy-to-use interface. A substantial amount of Jim's attention goes to the
Wisconsin Information Network for Successful Schools (WINSS).
Jim continues to pursue a strong interest in using online data analysis to make our planet a better place. Jim's other interests include environmental issues, the promotion of sustainable, democratically-operated business, writing, and crossword puzzles.
